These are the questions we keep in mind when reading your publishing application.

• Who is the application from? Are they part of a Community group (school, FaFT, Community organisation)?
• Is the Community remote, very remote or isolated?
• Will the planned book benefit children and young people in the Community?
• Will it benefit a larger Community too?
• Will it speak to the strengths of Indigenous peoples and cultures?
• Is some, or all, of the planned book in an Indigenous language?
• Have permissions for language use been obtained, or can these be obtained from the Traditional knowledge holders or Elders?
• If the story is a Traditional story have permissions been, or can they be, obtained from the Traditional knowledge holders or Elders?
• Will the book project be led by Community members at all times and at all levels?
