We’re thrilled to share that our partnership with Australia Post has been extended for another 3 years.

Since 2020, Australia Post has helped us deliver more than 600,000 books to over 400 remote First Nations Communities and schools across Australia. That’s hundreds of thousands of stories making their way into Communities, many written and illustrated by First Nations creators.

In the past year alone, more than 140,000 books were delivered through our Book Supply program. Thanks to Australia Post’s vast delivery network, books are reaching children in some of the most remote parts of the country.

The renewed partnership will continue to support our Create Initiative, which brings students from remote Communities to Sydney to write, illustrate and publish their own books. It’s a powerful week that nurtures confidence, creativity and pride in language and culture. Australia Post will also support Indigenous Literacy Day, our national celebration of First Nations stories, languages and cultures.

ILF CEO Ben Bowen said the extension reflects a shared commitment to storytelling and opportunity:

“Australia Post’s investment into literacy via this partnership is key to us connecting remote Communities with culturally relevant literacy resources and programs - helping Communities to reach their literacy goals and enabling them to make decisions that strengthen their futures.”

We’re incredibly grateful for Australia Post’s ongoing support and look forward to delivering many more books to Communities across Australia.
